Ivy Tech Community College/Valparaiso University Dual Admission Agreement

Program Information

Thank you for your interest in participating in the Ivy Tech Community College (ITCC) and Valparaiso University Dual Admission Partnership (DAP). This partnership has been forged to provide students a seamless transition from an ITCC associate degree to a Valparaiso University bachelor's degree. Program participants will benefit from the following:

Valparaiso University provides seamless admission to eligible ITCC students meeting admission requirements.
Participants will have direct contact with both ITCC and Valparaiso University faculty and staff through their tenure in the program, including access to dedicated admission personnel, academic advisement, and other support services.
Participants will have full use of the Valparaiso University library, academic and computer labs, and access to student affairs, financial aid, and career services staff prior to full admission.
Participants may also attend student activities such as sporting and cultural events at both institutions.
Participants will be provided with a Valparaiso University email account and student ID card.
Participants will be provided access to the Valparaiso University degree audit system allowing for tracking requirements toward their bachelor's degree progress.
Participants may have access to Valparaiso University on-campus housing, subject to availability.

Program Eligibility Requirements

In order to be eligible to enroll in the program, students must attend Ivy Tech Community College (ITCC). Students' responsibilities to meet the DAP admission standards are as follows:

Students must apply and be admitted to ITCC.
Students must complete an application for Dual Admission.
Students must earn an associate degree from ITCC.
Students may not attend another institution between the time they graduate from ITCC and formally enroll at VALPO.
Students must re-apply if there is a break of more than one regular fall or spring semester in their attendance at either institution.

ITCC students who fulfill the requirements of the DAP program are guaranteed acceptance to VALPO with full junior standing to continue in a bachelor's degree program at VALPO.

Privacy Information & Consent

Ivy Tech Community College and Valparaiso University comply with the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) which protects the privacy of education records of students. Student educational records are considered confidential and may not be released without your consent. Educational records include any record directly related to a student and maintained by the university for use in the educational process.

As a participant of this program, you are consenting to allow Ivy Tech Community College and Valparaiso University to disclose and exchange FERPA protected information from your educational records in order for school officials to fulfill their professional responsibilities related to program requirements including the following:
