    Personal Visit

We’re looking forward to hosting you at Valparaiso University!

On-campus appointments are open for the Summer on a limited basis most weekdays with start times at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 1:00 p.m. Central Time. Your visit includes a walking tour of campus and conversation with an admission counselor. At this time the tours do not go into buildings, which are locked, and faculty appointments are currently not available, as faculty are not on campus. You'll see on the calendar the first two weeks of July are unavailable; we will be hosting FOCUS Orientation/Registration for our incoming students.

    COVID Safety Protocols
Valpo is implementing safety protocols for our visitors and campus community that align with the Indiana Department of Health and Governor’s directives. These include the following:

    • All employees and guests must wear a cloth face covering over their nose & mouth when on campus.

    • Limit the number in your group to no more than 6.

    • If you or any family member has had any of the following symptoms related to the COVID-19 virus in the last 14 days, please visit us virtually: Fever, persistent cough, shortness of breath, chills/shaking with chills, muscle aches/pains, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell.

    • Take your temperature before leaving home, and reschedule your visit if anyone has a fever or symptoms as indicated above.

    • Check-in at the Duesenberg Welcome Center will be staged to limit contact with other families and includes us asking COVID-related questions when you arrive.

    • We ask you to help us maintain social distancing of a minimum of 6-feet.

    Summer Road Construction
When driving to the campus, please consult the Indiana Department of Transportation road construction webpage for updates. Road construction on Highway 30, the south edge of campus, is causing major delays for drivers coming from west of Valparaiso to campus. If you are driving in from the west, it is a good idea to navigate north or south of highway 30 to avoid the construction delays. Google maps may be a helpful tool in determining your fastest driving route. Entering campus via the east (Sturdy Road/S.R. 2) or north (LaPorte Avenue) entrances may be much easier than trying to enter campus from the south (Highway 30) entrance. Wind your way to the Duesenberg Welcome Center, #34 on this campus map.

We hope this basic visit to the University will entice you to visit Valpo again this Fall when our students and faculty have returned and we can show off the interiors of our facilities!
