FOCUS New Student Orientation Valpo students repeatedly share what a positive impact FOCUS has on their start to life at Valpo. It helps them feel more comfortable, learn more about their academic programs, find their way around campus, and discover resources they didn’t even know existed before coming to FOCUS. FOCUS is required of all new students and is highly recommended for parents/guardians of first-year students. Each session includes lunch and registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Check out the calendar below and click on a gold “Available” date that works with your schedule. Remember: Valpo is on Central Time, the same as Chicago. June 2026 FOCUS dates are: Monday, June 8 Tuesday, June 9 Thursday, June 11 Friday, June 12 Monday, June 15 Friday, August 21 is an available option for students who live more than 500 miles away.
